Hi,

I have no idea what section to use on my home page. I simply want to add an image with a url attached to it. I can't use MediaBox.

What can I use?

Please help.

Thanks!

Hi there, you can use a media box for this. Just instead of adding the image via the upload image option in the media box options, add the image and the link as html in the html embed option.

You can use media box - just add rich html to the text area

<a href="link.com"> <img src="yourimage.jpeg" alt="alttext"></a>

The answer to many issues can be found by searching in the forum before posting as someone else  may very well have had the same problem before you have.  Also, reading the documentation can help you gain a good understanding of how everything works.

How exactly have you written the html? If you view the image url you have in the code are you able to see the image in the browser on that url?

What I usually do is upload the image to the media library and get the url from there, check I can see it in the browser directly. Then put it into the html snippet.

Did you get any error info like ["broken image" icon in browser with the Red "X"].

The problem could be the path of your target image.

Make sure the path is correct means it should be in the same directory where the your .aspx page is.

Otherwise change the path of the image.

Hi,

No, I didn't get that message. It just doesn't load. I'll try and send the html I used, but I was copying the above. I'll do it soon, just very busy the last couple of days!

Hello steveburf

Please could you paste in the following

  • the link to the image you want to use
  • the code you are currently using for this media box that isn't working
