RevSlider + Header

Recommended Posts

micstepl
Same problem with Header & Global Options as with footer.

Suddenly, when not even touching the header (just doing a reload somewhere else on the site) the Global Options within the RevSlider (placed within Head) get overwritten by some existant local option.

I feel DMS is getting more buggy from version to version..

Can we have a link to your site and could you please enable the debug for us?

The answer to many issues can be found by searching in the forum before posting as someone else  may very well have had the same problem before you have.  Also, reading the documentation can help you gain a good understanding of how everything works.

I am not even sure what your issue is, you're going to need explain your issue better.

You also have a lot of plugins active and have the following on your debug info, which needs to be addressed, especially as you have PHP version 5.5

PHP Open basedir restriction
Yes!
/home/.sites/0/site1389/web:/home/.sites/0/site1389/tmp:/usr/share/pear

There is no implications with using PHP 5.5, I was just saying that you have one of the latest versions, which is good, as you use much less memory. However, as I mentioned you have the following issue with your debug info, which needs addressing, only your host can resolve this issue, I recommend you contact them.

Hi there, you're correct the basedir restriction shouldn't be set to yes. Basically if that's showing in the debug panel this means is your host has a restriction set on the install which prevents files being accessed from higher up in the file system.

Kindly search the forum and read the documentation before posting. It will help you resolve many issues.

For CSS help be sure to check out W3Schools first and be sure to download FireBug for FireFox for troubleshooting.

I chcked with my host:

Sorry .... I feel that you keep sending me around with back & fort questions - questionably related to the problem.

Than I find out everything & you re-ask me what the problem is.

I would really appreciate support.

We never once said it was a function in PHP 5.5, thats why it was weird. However, I am not sure as to what is going on with your web server, according to your debug info, you're now using PHP 5.3 and still have the following problems.

PHP Open basedir restriction
Yes!
/home/.sites/0/site1389/web:/home/.sites/0/site1389/tmp:/usr/share/pear

PHP Magic Quotes gpc
Yes! Deprecated as of PHP 5.3 and removed in PHP 5.4

You need these issues addressed, as they could be the cause of the issue and if they're not, once there resolved it will make diagnosing your issue much easier.

You're going to need to contact your web host provider, I would recommend upgrading back to PHP 5.5 and ask them to address the two issues I pointed out in my previous post. Once those issues have been resolved, we will be able to diagnose your issue easier, it could be related to your web server or plugins you have installed. However, we won't know what until your web server is configured correctly.
