Memory requirement

I cannot find any specification how much memory a total (average) Installation uses.

I know this site, but it does not say anything.

I have 110MB & get Pro-Errors (even on a clean install and all Plugings deactivated)

I am saying "average Installation"

(not only DMS - DMS isn´t stand alone - or is it?)

If you want to find out how much memory Wordpress uses, you should ask this question on their forums. I can only inform you of how much DMS uses.

I find it very unlikely that you have 110Mb, if you're having memory issues. Its likely that your server has something installed that allows your host to state they have given you X amount of memory, but in reality you have much less than that.

How do you know you have 110MB ?

I recommend you either enable the Memory option in DMS Pro Tools plugin or install this plugin and check how much you have.

http://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-memory-usage/

There should be noway you run out of memory with only Wordpress and DMS installed, if you have 100MB PHP allocated memory.

danny,

  • my hoster increased it to 110MB (based on my request)
  • I checked on the Server and it confirms above mentioned
  • on the PageLinesPRO I receive the message below***

is there a different meaning behind the result I get ***?

***

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 115343360 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 90439681 bytes) in /home/.sites/0/site1389/web/xxx/xxx/wp-content/plugins/dms-plugin-pro/libs/class.memtest.php on line 18
Ram test Results: 110549Kb or approx 108Mb

Ive just ran a quick conversion of your numbers, here is what I calculated.

115343360 Bytes = 110 MegaBytes

However, your server tried to allocate:

90439681 Bytes = 86 MegaBytes.

So as I mentioned above, you do not have 110MB you have 24MB. So this is a server issue.

Danny,

I am not sure what the error of the PageLines-PRO dös there with the Error mentioed

I checked fpr you 2 other sources:

NO 1 - my Hosters Console

memory_Host.png

NO 2 - WP-Memory-Usage

memory_WP-Memory-Usage.png

Obviously, what these 2 measures say is:

  • that 110MB is available
  • that 21MB are used of the 110MB free

My conclusion is that the PagelLinesPRO dös say anything obskure.

Wahr do you think?

What are these 'Pro-Errors'?
