Hi Everyone!

Can anyone help me by explaining how I can add WAI-ARIA Landmarks to a site built with DMS?

Thanks

Hi Allan,

You will need to basically edit all the sections and incorporate all the attributes required for Aria landmarks. I apologise, but I don't really know anything about them to be honest.

Thanks Danny, Where exactly would I edit the sections? Do you think I would be able to use the Hooker plugin to do it?

I don't think you can use hooker to that, what you will need to do is probably create a child section for all core sections and then edit the sections section.php file and include the necessary HTML.

You can follow our guide here - http://docs.pagelines.com/advanced/override-sections

Danny, I can't find the base theme in the shop? Where do I get it from?

Hi there you can download the base theme from https://github.com/bearded-avenger/nicks-base-theme

Kindly search the forum and read the documentation before posting. It will help you resolve many issues.

For CSS help be sure to check out W3Schools first and be sure to download FireBug for FireFox for troubleshooting.

Thanks James, but this is starting to get a bit too techy for me!!

Do I just use the Download Zip button on the page you sent me and then upload that Zip to my site as a theme?

Yes, you can install Nick's base theme via the Wordpress theme installer. Once installed, the theme comes with a number of files and folders, one of these folders is called "sections", this is where you can add all the core sections folders and in doing so, create a child of those sections. Which you can edit without it effecting the original ones in DMS.

See the link I gave you above, which goes into more detail.
