Is this a localhost site? Noticed you have a non standard port there.

Before I setup a virtual machine to run apache on a non standard port, can you try and replicate without the huge list of plugins? Otherwise I am going to have to install all of them to replicate your setup, and obviously id need to ask you then what all your settings are for each of them ;)

Hahah, Its a live (sandbox) site, the port is to bypass the cloud cache. I'll setup a localhost site and see if I can replicate the problem. As a side note I could also give you a complete backup of the site if that would help, it'll be a big download (maybe a few gigs) the site is huge on the blog side.

Ok so I was able to replicate it with a fresh install, no plugins (lucky) on port 8000. What I did was change the permalink to /%post_id%/%postname%/ then added a page called yada services, then a sub page called google adwords success stories, the page did the same thing.

Hang on, now you're adding a subpage?

The OP was about renaming a slug wasnt it?

So is this bug produced by having a port of 8000 and a pageslug on a page, then renaming the slug and refreshing?
or having a port of 8000 and a pageslug on a page, then adding a new subpage with a different slug?

Whats the reason for using the post id in your urls?

I think I doesn't matter, I just copied the setting from the old site (one of the first things I do on a fresh install is change the permalink settings)

Ok I'm stupid... it was because I had adblock on chrome (the "adwords" keyword in the title killed the page)
