Assigning Fonts for different Elements

4 posts in this topic

I would like to change the font TYPE and SIZE for these elements: Paragraph, H1, H2, H3, H4, and H5.

I would also like to specify a different font TYPE and SIZE for menu bars and widget items.

I've looked and looked, and all I can see is the Global Setting -> Typography which does not offer options beyond "Primary Text" and "Text headers".  When I made a change to "Primary Text" , it changed everything (including Nav Bar and Widget texts), and when I made a change to "Text Headers" there was no option to specify font sizes for each of the H elements.

The 'old' Pagelines offered easy customization of all these elements. Now I'm lost.

Grateful if you could point me in the right direction.

Hi there,

These settings are generalized in DMS. You will need to use css to adjust the specific h tags on selected elements. Example of the css belwo for you.

h1, h2, h3, h4, h5, h6, p {

Thanks for the response. Can you remind me where to input this code?

All custom CSS/LESS can go into the Custom CSS option in the DMS Toolbar. However, if you're using a child theme, then your custom CSS/LESS should go into the style.less file, if there isn't one present then you will need to create it.

I recommend you see our Customization documentation for a more in-depth guide.

Any idea what is wrong here?
    • DMS2 an "App Aware" theme?
      By vanessabt+
Hi,  I am looking at bringing on a new client that we are doing a website redesign for.  Ideally I would like to use pagelines for this but we are also going to be potentially using phonegap to build a corresponding mobile app for the client and connecting it through the AppPresser core plugin to wordpress.  One of the conditions in order to do this is that the chosen theme that is installed in wordpress and that the website uses is an "app aware" theme.  Do you know if dms is an "app aware" theme?  I need to confirm this upfront because there will be no time to redevelop the site if it does not work.  We have a tight timeframe to complete the site and then phase 2 will be the app.  Please advise.  Thank you.
    • Visibility on mobile - tags or code?

Is there a quick way to show/hide things on mobile and desktops please, i.e. like a shortcode or similar?
I've used a bit of code, but wondered if that was the mode elegant way - is there something built into a media box, for example that would give me a hide on desktop toggle?
      Thank you

I'm having problems with bootstrap popovers being cut off the edge of the browser. I'm using the latest version of dms (2.2) and this problem occurs on all browsers tested. Please can you let me know how we can fix this?
