Starting on a new server

Just been informed by provider that the upload limit is 32 meg

Wordpress media says 8 meg - and does the upload OK

Just tried to upload a Media Box image for a header

But I'm getting an  - can't upload  - page limit .5 meg

any ideas? - getting desperate

Basically, the image upload for the Mediabox is limited to 5mb so that users don't upload insane image sizes, which will likely reduce their sites performance, then create a topic asking why their site is slow.

So really you shouldn't be uploading images over 5mb, there are a number of tools available to compress your images, see our docs page here under images - http://docs.pagelines.com/advanced/optimize-load-time

Please search our forums, before posting!

maybe I was reading that wrong

nope - just checked a screen dump

error message form DMS upload was - limit 0.5MB

not 5MB

But as explained it wasn't that - it appears to be you can't upload a CMYK jpeg (we do a lot of print work - graphic was converted to CMYK when opened and reserved from Photoshop)

switched to RGB - all fine

Looks like the custom uploader used by DMS is a little more picky than the one used by Wordpress, which uploaded the CMYK file without a hitch (not that you'd want to use CMYK files)
