Horizontal Spacing Between Simple Nav Menu Items

Recommended Posts

sblentlinger

Hello,

I was wondering if you could provide some assistance to this.  I am using Simple Nav as a secondary navbar for the products page on my site (payline.staging.wpengine.com/products).  I am trying to implement a continuous bar, but not span the width of the screen.  However, I am having trouble finding the css element to modify to remove the space between each menu item.  I added padding to each menu item to increase the space between the text and the border.  And I added a border to each menu item.  These changes do not seem to affect the horizontal spacing, but neither do any of the other properties I change.  Thanks!

Not sure what you mean?

Like this - http://d.pr/i/HunU

Or this - http://d.pr/i/mPq6

Like the 2nd image!

I know there is still a ways to go on the styling afterwards.  So in the 2nd image, you have removed the blank space in between each button, which is exactly what I was looking for.  The first is not correct b/c I did not want the extra space on the sides of the menu.

The way I did the second was to add display: block and float: left to the li class. However, this will push your navigation to the left, so you may need to use offset to center it again.
