When i post an update on Facebook and link to an article, the snippet fetches a few elements that i do not want to show up.

In the image i marked it with red:

  • Author
  • Post date
  • Add comment

How can i customize this output?

Hi there, use the facebook debugger tool to see what content it's pulling from the page, there's some options there where you can make edits like thumbnail choices etc - http://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug I don't know if it will separate out the meta info though, worth a shot though as you might be able to isolate it.

Thanks James B I tried it, but apart from some interesting info, it doesnt help to leave out that specific meta info.

When i post an update from another Pagelines blog, it works ok. Perhaps you could see the difference when linking to:

    • ShareBar FB Image
      By MobileParity+
The ShareBar I am using posts 2 different images for Facebook and Pinterest. For FB is will post an image on the page and for Pinterest it will post the Featured image set in WordPress. Is there a way to determine a specific image to be shown for any of the ShareBar social integrations?

    • [like_button] reporting incorrectly
      By blatka
Hi. I have a "facebook like" bootstrap icon in my site's footer. For years it reported our Facebook likes accurately - at one point it showed 5.5k likes. Now it's showing 45 likes.
I tried removing [like_button] from the footer, purging the cache, and re-adding. I know i'm running an old Pagelines version, but I'm wondering if you have any suggestions to get it reporting correctly again. We're up to 6k likes on our page.
I did change the site from http:// to https:// back in October by adding an ssl certificate, but since then we've had 156 new facebook likes. But earlier I saw the likes reported on our site matching the number of our Facebook likes.
It's in the footer here:  https://www.ancienttreearchive.org/
(and oh, the tweets used to show over 500, now it shows 5 - don't know if this is related)

    • Facebook Featured Image with DMS2 Not Showing
      By jasonthedce
I found an old support thread for this topic from the DMS1 days. There's also this topic what never went anywhere with the same issue:
Anyway, I'm trying to figure out how to get images to show in Facebook. Here's what it should look like, from my blog that doesn't use DMS2:

The image is pulled directly from my post on my blog. Here's what a post looks like with a featured image in DMS2 when pasted to Facebook:

This image is pulled from the header, but I can also use the arrow buttons in the image to switch it to my Gravatar profile photo, which is the author portrait on the FirstTrinity.com site.
Any help would be much appreciated!
    • Blog video not displaying on Facebook
      By redstate
When I try to publish my Blog post with a  video on Facebook, the comment posts fine but not the video. Any idea what I need to do to get the video to show as well?
On my other non-Pagelines blog, I just used Paint, cropped a photo of the video and published that image on Facebook .But when I tried that with the Pagelines blog, it displays both the photo and video on top of each other on the blog page but neither displays with the comment on Facebook.
