Sidebar Nav Menu Customization

Recommended Posts

First let me say thank you for all your help with other issues that have grey'd my hair lol...here's the latest issue...I am trying to put a "separator" between the menu items that appear in the sidebar widget area.  So the menu itself is derived from Settings > Menu...then that option is placed into a widget in the widget area. I am essentially trying to replicate the menu "look" from here:  www.schutzwhite.com...the sidebar menu that appears on that site...that site is a JOOMLA / HTML site that is being converted to WP which is what you see at www.schutzwhite.com/divorce.  Hope that makes sense...thanks in advance!!

Hi there, to get that effect you will need to apply some css to the class for the menu list. If you've not dealt with css before inside DMS check out - http://docs.pagelines.com/customize/how-to-customize

Basically all you need to do is find the name of the class which that element is using and apply a new instruction to the style to tell it add something new. In this case 'border-bottom: 1 px dotted and then the color".

.widget ul li {
    border-bottom: 1px dotted #000000;
}

Kindly search the forum and read the documentation before posting. It will help you resolve many issues.

For CSS help be sure to check out W3Schools first and be sure to download FireBug for FireFox for troubleshooting.
