Hello,

I cannot get the background image of the website I am working on to stay fixed (ie, it remains in place while content above it scrolls up and down). I've tried various CSS suggestions with no luck. Any ideas? Website is the ShanksKC.com.

Thanks.

Brian

Hi Brian

The link provided doesn't seem to work so I'm unable to see the site. However, have you selected in the bg options panel for the image to be fixed, like - http://screencast.com/t/yJCxAVzRfh

Kindly search the forum and read the documentation before posting. It will help you resolve many issues.

For CSS help be sure to check out W3Schools first and be sure to download FireBug for FireFox for troubleshooting.

Hi,

Firstly you have posted in the wrong forum location, your site is using PlatformPro and the forum you have posted your topic is related to DMS.

So I have moved your topic to the correct forum.

To set your background to fixed you will need to add custom CSS:

body.fixed_width {
background-attachment: fixed !important;
}

Please search our forums, before posting!

      I'd like to request a section (or that this could be enabled on the background settings of the existing sections) in which we could set a image to stay fixed, just as we can see in the link below:
      http://www.bootply.com/render/100702 (you can see 2 different background images and everything scrolls on top of it.)
      Is it possible to be done without having to code it via CSS every time?

      Hi,
      I am trying to get the background image of the Revslider to be clickable and redirect to a link.
      Does anyone know how this is possible?

      I added a background image to a container that has a textbox in it, then added a background overlay.
      The overlay "overlaid" the textbox content as well as the container background image.
      Fixing it was simple enough: I reduced the z-index on .pl-bg-overlay to 0.

      I have my site registered and activated.  When I click to add any Free or Pro extensions, I get a message stating package not available.  (see attachment)
