Password protect pages

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I've looked around on the forums for an answer & can't find one - sorry if one exists already.

I'm almost finished with my site www.fmp-ir.com (looking good I think - pagelines is awesome!).

I've developed a 'client area' which has some quite sensitive reports. Each clients report page is not visible from the main website, but I still want to add password protection to their pages.

I tried using wordpresses in-built 'password protect' & this seems to be a bit on & off. I've asked a few people to test it & with some people it asks for a password - with others it doesn't.

Is there a good way of doing this? Are there any password plugins which work well with pagelines (i've designed the site to be as 'plug-in' free as possible, but will use one if you guys recommend it). Don't mind paying.

Cheers

James

Hi James,

Wordpress by default includes the ability to password protect your content in the following post/page option - http://d.pr/i/F8Ni

However, if you're building a client or members area, you should probably want to look into a Membership plugin for Wordpress such as S2Members, Wishlist etc..

No problem.

You can also install plugins such as S2Member to name one, which allow you to create a membership website.

You should search Google for Wordpress membership plugins a whole of list of plugins and blog posts discussing them will return in the search.
