PagelinesPro/PagelinesBase Migration

Recommended Posts

rritoch

I need to migrate some web sites ASAP before the servers go offline.  The original sites (50+) appear to be on PagelinesPro and we don't have administrator access.  We have done an export from wordpress (tools > export) and are unable to import them due to various errors.

Failed to import banner-sets x

Failed to import x Invalid post type banners

Failed to import x Invalid post type feature

Failed to import x Invalid post type boxes

I go to the pagelines site and there is no option to download Pagelines, only some DMS system that is clearly NOT going to help migrate these sites.  I'm sure the client is willing to pay any membership fees required but we need to migrate these sites immediatly as the original server will be going offline shortly and the media/attachments of all 50+ sites will be lost forever.

How can I, or the client, download and install PagelinesPro/PagelinesBase?

Hi,

PageLines Framework is now a legacy theme and has been made freely available (Open Source) via GitHub.

You can download PageLines Framework from here - https://github.com/pagelines/PageLines-Framework

You can download PageLines Platform Pro from here - https://github.com/pagelines/platformpro

On the right hand side, you will see a Download Zip button.

Danny, Thanks.

I am now able to import the posts, etc. but I'm getting a blank page why I try to import the *.dat file. I'll do some more debugging on my own and I'll be back if I can't find a solution. I suspect I'm just missing plugins.

Also I didn't put it into two threads for faster service. I'm new to this forum and I think I posted this in the wrong topic which is why I reposted it  into the forum for  legacy themes.

OK, if you post in the incorrect forum, just keep that topic and edit it informing our staff which product you're using, so they can move your topic to the correct forum.

In regards to the white screen when importing the .date file, its likely a server issue, if you enable WP_DEBUG, it may print out an error message. Also, you may want to review any custom CSS you may have added, as any errors will likely cause an issue with the import.

You can enable WP_DEBUG by reading this article - http://codex.wordpress.org/WP_DEBUG

Danny,

After enabling debug mode there are no errors reported, though there are three notices..

Notice: get_theme_data is deprecated since version 3.4! Use wp_get_theme() instead. in .../wp-includes/functions.php on line 2908

Notice: get_theme_data is deprecated since version 3.4! Use wp_get_theme() instead. in.../wp-includes/functions.php on line 2908

Notice: get_theme_data is deprecated since version 3.4! Use wp_get_theme() instead. in .../wp-includes/functions.php on line 2908

The http response code is 200 so it isn't a server 500 error as I expected.  I changed line wp-includes/functions.php#2908 temporarily to if (false && .... to disable those warnings and that simply returns the page to being blank. Do you have any other ideas what could be happening here?

Do I need to install an older version of wordpress? If so what version would you suggest?
