Force URL to open new page without <a> tags

OK - so this may be a wordpress issue not a pagelines framework, but I'm going to try here first.  In the menu section of wordpress I am adding some main menu items that are links to external sites.

See http://www.technoticks236.com/news/

If you look at the way these are entered through appearance>menu> there is no option for checking an "open in new window" box.

(see attached screen shot)

Is this a wordpress issue or a pagelines issue and is there a work around? I've tried adding <a href="http://usfirst.org">Official FIRST</a> in the URL box, but it just kicks me out.  Any suggestions?

Ugggh - sorry ignore - just found the answer by googling something different.  I am posting here incase anyone else has this problem.

Go to appearance>menu and then look in top right hand corner at screen options.  Check the options you want to be able to see when you make posts.

No idea why that is not available by default!

Thanks for updating

Kindly search the forum and read the documentation before posting. It will help you resolve many issues.

For CSS help be sure to check out W3Schools first and be sure to download FireBug for FireFox for troubleshooting.
