Revslider Options - Clickable image

Recommended Posts

Hiya,

I have tried to look for a solution to my query but haven't had any luck so far, apologies if I have overlooked something!

I previously built a site using pagelines framework but have been recently been designing a revamped site using DMS. I previously used the Features Slider in framework and had hoped to use the RevSlider in DMS as the full width looks awesome. However, I want to place text on the image in photoshop and have the whole image be clickable on the website as I had done when using the Feature Slider, but I'm not sure if this is possible. If I put a url in the slide link options it brings up a 'read more' clickable box on the image which I do not want.

I am teaching myself from scratch and have got my head around making CSS changes but haven't managed anything else. I usually google and hope for the best but I haven't come up with any results this time!

Is there an easyish fix for what I want to do? I am happy to follow instructions if anyone is able to point me to them/give me any.

Thanks in advance,

Leanne

Hi Leanne,

Unfortunately, that isn't possible "out of the box" and would probably require editing the sections.php file. However, I think (not 100% sure) this is possible with the RevSlider plugin, which you can get from here - http://codecanyon.net/item/slider-revolution-responsive-wordpress-plugin/2751380

I would contact them prior to purchase to make sure this functionality is included.

Hi there, the quickslider will allow for the whole slide to be clickable using your own images without the read more link, but it won't be full width out of the box. Will need some css editing to tweak that section to go across the whole page.

Kindly search the forum and read the documentation before posting. It will help you resolve many issues.

For CSS help be sure to check out W3Schools first and be sure to download FireBug for FireFox for troubleshooting.
