.pl-section-pad.fix and .pl-area-pad.fix adding borders, how to remove?

Recommended Posts

These cause top and bottom paddings around areas that I don't want.  I've tried several combinations of coed but can't seem to remove them.  Is there a way to remove these for the entire site?  Is there a way to remove these section by section?

On this site. http://madsky.wpengine.com/  when the browser window is resized the white space around the menu becomes much taller.  What causes this and how can I correct it?

It has something to do with this and I assume @media but I can't sort it out.

<div class="pl-inner area-region pl-sortable-area editor-row ui-sortable ui-sortable-disabled" style="">
<div class="pl-sortable pl-sortable-buffer span12 offset0" style=""></div>

I've seen these borders, too, but in my case I like seeing them there.

Unfortunately, I don't know how to assist you in removing them, but I can understand why you would want to.  I look forward to finding out exactly how.

HI,

I am not seeing the Navigation menu expand when I resize my browser the elements height remains constant i.e. it remains 85px regardless of screen size ?

Also where are these borders you're referring too ? I am not seeing any borders on your site, regardless of my browser windows size.

There is extra white space below the slider.  I'll change the color of the section below so you can see it more easily.

Do you mean this gap - http://screencast.com/t/enhbT08Jjga

This looks like it's being caused by a <br> in the html somewhere - http://screencast.com/t/CSLgcSFd if i remove that break in firebug, i get - http://screencast.com/t/dVvoGmUjx3E My guess there would be its caused by some of the html in the textbox, double check it's formatted correctly just to rule out.

In regard to the menu, I see it remain the same height, until the point the screen is so small that the nav text has to fall onto the line below, in that instance the height changes to accommodate the second line of text.

Danny - I looked at this a bit more.  I'm using a FullWidth box and adding a LayerSlider short code to the Title area of the FWbox (result is a break or space below the slider).  When I move the LayerSlider short code into the text area of the FWbox the break or space is then above the slider.  How do I remove the break?

I use layerslider also I notice that if use the short in a hook {before main} there is no gap and you can also achieve the full width slider in a boxed setting with this method.

Only problem I ran into was that you would need to specify which page or the slider would appear on every page in-between the header and template

Hope this helps

Aires...thanks.  I'm still new to wordpress/CSS.  How would I start to insert this in a Hook?
