Can't apply theme to products

Recommended Posts

Hey

Wanted to start by saying I purchased DMS Personal (can't get access to forums) and love it.

My problem is that my template no matter what I do will not apply site wide. Most pages get the updated theme but all of my Product pages and a few others like My account and Terms of Service do not get the theme. At the moment I've just been manually applying the theme but I could see this becoming very tedious after a while

Website is http://ausecigs.com.au and you can view what I mean by clicking virtually any product or a few pages like the "Terms of Service" page.

Any help/advice would be appreciated!

HI,

You can apply your template to either type or local when using configuring the layout on your prducts page, if you choose the type option (left hand side of the DMS Toolbar when opened) this means that the configuration of that section will be the same on your type i.e. in your case your products. If you choose local, then it will be configured to that product only.

See the image here, look to the left hand side when configuring your section(s) - http://d.pr/i/HWtl

If you want to set a template and have it site wide for your pages, configure the template and then go each of your pages and then in the DMS Toolbar, go to Templates, select your template and click load template.

You can even set it to be the default template - http://d.pr/i/Wb4w

Hi there, sorry do you mean you make a change etc, then have to go to the next page using that template and re-save/refresh to see the changes appear? If so that is correct. If you make the changes on one page using that template, save the template etc, then the changes won't be seen on the other pages until you save/refresh those pages to reflect the new version.

Kindly search the forum and read the documentation before posting. It will help you resolve many issues.

For CSS help be sure to check out W3Schools first and be sure to download FireBug for FireFox for troubleshooting.
