Extra space below Flipper sections

Recommended Posts

I'm not sure why, but after making a change to the homepage layout of this site, I'm getting an extra space just below each Flipper section.

Hi there, what changes did you make to the homepage? Did you add margins/padding to any specific areas or classes?

The flipper unit on your page is currently showing a margin of 1em at the bottom.

Kindly search the forum and read the documentation before posting. It will help you resolve many issues.

For CSS help be sure to check out W3Schools first and be sure to download FireBug for FireFox for troubleshooting.

Thanks for the response, James.

No changes to margins or padding. I updated plugins and DMS, WP core. I think that was it. No changes to styles. It's weird because the space disappears as soon as I attempt to inspect it. It seems like a rendering issue.

I see it in Safari and Chrome.

Not sure if this is related, but I just noticed that the 'View' overlay on the Flipper images sometimes is out of place.

These are both viewable on the homepage: http://www.cinephiled.com

HI,

I have just recreated your layout and have no such issue, I even used your posts images and the View button is always in the center.

Therefore, the issue is most likely caused by either your custom CSS/LESS, edits to the Flipper section code made by yourself or a plugin. If you remove all custom code (CSS/LESS & scripts) and see if this resolves your issue.

If that doesn't do it, keep them removed and then disable all active plugins except for DMS Pro Tools and see if this resolves your issue.

FYI, love the design of your site.

Thanks, Danny! I'll try that out. I don't think it's custom css, cause that hasn't changed recently. Could be an update to a plugin, so I'll test for that.

And thanks for the design props. Couldn't have done so quickly and easily without DMS! :)

I'm just hoping you guys will build Flipper+ with the option to overlay post details on top of an image. I've added a dev request that you replied to here, so I've got my fingers crossed.

I am using the Powerloop plug-in on my DMS website and can sort my elements by Postdate, but I want to sort the pages in Alphabetic order.
Actually the same question for sorting Flipper content in Alphabetic order instead of Ascending / Descending / Random options.

We only want the images and title mouse-over, not link/click to the actual post the title is from.
      Any ideas anyone?
      Thanks

I just installed and added the Flipper section to my home page and it makes my navigation/menu bar items disappear.
They do show up again when scrolling down and everything seems normal on the other pages.

      Thanks.

Is there any way to hide the excerpt in Flipper, and the navigation arrows?

How do I hide (or change) the category title in the Flipper section?
Could there be a setting for this in the editor?
