Hi there,

So you've copied the entire navbar folder into the base theme as a new section? Then modified the code inside that new section? Or edited the core section?

Any changes you wanted to make to collapse width could be done with @media queries in the custom code/css area instead of modifying the section. Have you renamed the section or left it as the same name, also is the base theme the active theme on the site?

Kindly search the forum and read the documentation before posting. It will help you resolve many issues.

For CSS help be sure to check out W3Schools first and be sure to download FireBug for FireFox for troubleshooting.
