How to use Plugins in PAgelines DMS

Recommended Posts

RussCompton

Im new with pagelines and wordpress and I am trying to get the gist of how to insert the plugin into pagelines. I was looking to get a full page backround and i was directed to this plugin through wordpress. I was to told to download it, not sure what to do from there. Someone told me to paste the shortcode into a page or a post. So i copiedd and pasted it into a new page. But Im not sure where to go from here, if I have even dont any part of this correct so far. I basically am just trying to find out how to download plugins and get them to work in pagelines DMS. And what does copying and pasting the "shortcode" do and what is short code?

Thanks, Russ

Hi Russ,

Firstly, please refrain from creating multiple topics regarding the same issue, you already have a topic open.

http://forum.pagelines.com/topic/31374-full-page-image-background-loop/

All plugins come with instructions on how to implement the plugin, some are as simple as activating and configuring. However, others will require you to add custom code, the plugin you're referring already has these instructions here - http://wordpress.org/plugins/vegas-fullscreen-background-slider/

In order to get this plugin to work in the way you like, you will most likely need to use hooks, which are advanced customization. You can find more information about hooks here - http://docs.pagelines.com/advanced/hooks

If you're having trouble implementing it, I recommend you contact the developer for further assistance.
