Background image not fitting to sides if portrait versus landscape

I'm setting my background image using

Site Options > Color Control

and inserting my .jpeg.

What I want to do is have this image be tall - so that as you scroll down you see various different shapes. BUT it is only allowing me to put a landscape image in there - if I put the super tall portrait setup image, it doesn't fit to the sides of the page.

I'm sorry, I think this is a very simple issue, but nonetheless I cannot figure it out.

Thank you!

Do you have a link to your page?

The answer to many issues can be found by searching in the forum before posting as someone else  may very well have had the same problem before you have.  Also, reading the documentation can help you gain a good understanding of how everything works.

The page has just been started and I'm just experimenting to make sure it is even possible to get the kind of background image in there that I want.

It is hidden by a "coming soon" plugin that displays another page - not my actual site/theme http://vegancommissary.com/

I figured this out on my own. Thank you though!

I'd like to request a section (or that this could be enabled on the background settings of the existing sections) in which we could set a image to stay fixed, just as we can see in the link below:
http://www.bootply.com/render/100702 (you can see 2 different background images and everything scrolls on top of it.)
Is it possible to be done without having to code it via CSS every time?

Trying to adjust the position of the background image on http://churchofwolves.com/. I need the wolf background to move over to the left on mobile versions so it can be seen. Here's the code I'm using and it's not working. I've tried a bunch of different things. Getting frustrated. Any advice?
      @media (max-width: 768px) { .home .site-wrap{ background: url(http://churchofwolves.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/06/Church-of-Wolves-bkgd1.jpg); -webkit-background-size: cover; -moz-background-size: cover; -o-background-size: cover; background-size: cover; background-position: 100% 0%; } }

I can insert three text box in a page, of course.
I'm not able to set three different background colors to each text box.
I would like a result as the attached picture.
      How do I do this?
