Putting PHP code in Feature Box

Can you put PHP code into the Feature boxes? I'd like to have one or more of the feature boxes show the Latest Post from one or more categories. Is that possible or do the feature boxes only handle static text/HTML?

I think you need shortcodes for that... I read somewhere on this forum that is in the making... I managed to do some conditional HTML to warn IE users to use something else... ;-) that is all the dynamics for now.
