PopThumbs wont work?

Recommended Posts

Frangibson

I am trying to use PopThumbs to create my gallery here:

http://www.loveitlawns.co.uk/gallery/

I cant seem to upload or select any images from the media library, I have used this section on my home page and it is fine, but only use 3x images there.

I have about 30 images I need to showcase and getting a bit desperate now as I have to have this site completed but the end of the week, please help :-( ??

Hi there, are you using the latest version of DMS on your site? There was an issue where a previous version of DMS wasn't allowing images from the media library to load but this was corrected in the last update.

Checking on the error log I can see something similar for pop thumbs, please see https://github.com/pagelines/DMS/issues/540. Does this sound like what's happening in your setup? Are you going back in and adding additional images? If so this has now been confirmed as an issue and the developer team are currently looking at this.

Kindly search the forum and read the documentation before posting. It will help you resolve many issues.

For CSS help be sure to check out W3Schools first and be sure to download FireBug for FireFox for troubleshooting.

Hi James, I have checked and I am using the latest version of DMS, although it will still not allow me to load images from the Media Library. I am also experiencing the same problem when trying to add additional images. When you say the developers are currently looking at this do you mean, days, weeks, months? Or is their an alternative I can use for the Gallery as I cant see anything without having to purchase something else?

There is no ETA in regards to potential bugs unfortunately, so we can't give you any kind of time frame. However, there are number of free plugins available on the Wordpress plugin repository that allows you to display a gallery. Wordpress also includes a free gallery option.

Frangibson - we figured out, that there could be a trick. it's not working for all, but maybe you give it a try.

After you have choosen a pic from the media library click into another field before saving. Sometimes it works.

Hope it works for you too.
