New to Pagelines DMS and I am really having issues trying to figure out how it works. Im currently using Wamp server on a windows 7 pro machine. Im using Pagelines DMS Pro Developer the latest version. Im also using the latest DMS pro plugin. Basically I am trying to create a website almost identical to this site here. "http://www.thelodgeatwoodloch.com/" The issue that I am having is I dont know how to go about doing so. When I insert a section, I dont know how to make the vertical part of the section any bigger thank when it comes standard. If anyone would even train me in this I would pay I just really need to learn it I need to meet a deadline in the next month.  If anyone can assist me that would be great! Thanks

I already went into the php.ine folder and changed the max file size to 64mb but that was when it wouldnt upload the zipped file of DMS. Not sure that now that I have DMS installed if there is another php.ine foler that I have to modify. Any help is appreciated

Hi,

Firstly, you don't really want to have a Windows based server, you would be better using an app such as XAMPP which is Linux based. Windows servers are pretty poor to be honest and have a weird setup.

Secondary, if you would like training, in my opinion the best method is for you to read through our documentation to get a grip of our DMS works. You could follow the creating a branding area documentation, as this demonstrates the different aspects of using DMS.

http://docs.pagelines.com/

http://docs.pagelines.com/tutorials/creating-a-branding-area

You should also read through the instructions on the Section Area styling doc, which demonstrates how to style section areas with custom CSS.

http://docs.pagelines.com/tutorials/creating-a-branding-area

If you're interested in the fast route i.e. paying someone to show you the ropes, there are a number or Pros on our resources pages here - http://docs.pagelines.com/resources

In regards to the image upload size, what size image are you trying to upload and where are you attempting to upload it to which section ?

Oh okay what do you recommend more. XAMMP or LAMP ? and I can just put these in a virtual box on my windows pc or should I get a computer to just solely run Linux? Like I said I am fairly new at this stuff and I really appreciate the patience that anyone has here with assisting me. I am an IT guy but I just recently started doing webdesign and now I am learning the DMS. But you recommend reading through the Docs to learn more about using this theme?

XAMPP and LAMP should be the same thing, Ive used the XAMPP app before, but I haven't heard of an app called LAMP.

I highly recommend just playing around with DMS, add sections to your template, configure them etc.. as you do this read through the documentation at the same time, this should greatly improve your understanding.

If you find yourself struggling with anything or have a question, post on the forums and we will gladly help.
