Change sidebar color?

Recommended Posts

davestolte

I'd llke to add a color to the right-hand sidebar here: http://lousings.com/

I tried this in Custom CSS but it didn't work:

#sidebar1
{
background-color: #d4d4c9;
}

Any ideas?

There is no div with an ID of sidebar1 on your page.

its a class called section-sb_primary so...

.section-sb_primary
{
background-color: #d4d4c9;

That isn't working... tried pasting into the Custom CSS for the site overall, and in the Local Section Options for that Column under Standard Options.

Excellent, thank you! I had a #body tag before the line that was nullifying it.

Hi there, if you've set a class using the custom styling field inside the widgetizer section then you can use the class you've set there to style the widgetizer and apply the color.

So from the screenshot above I've put

.myclass {

                 background: #000000;

}

Kindly search the forum and read the documentation before posting. It will help you resolve many issues.

For CSS help be sure to check out W3Schools first and be sure to download FireBug for FireFox for troubleshooting.
