How to remove vertical gap between header & my custom navigation bar (both included as Media Boxes in the site header)?

Hi,

Try using the following:

#mediaboxzw6nec .the-media, #mediaboxzw6nec p {
margin-top: 0;
}

Thanks, Danny - I put that in the Custom CSS section and it didn't help. Any ideas for a next step?

Hi there,

Try adding !important to force it.

#mediaboxzw6nec .the-media, #mediaboxzw6nec p {
    margin-top: 0 !important;
}

Kindly search the forum and read the documentation before posting. It will help you resolve many issues.

For CSS help be sure to check out W3Schools first and be sure to download FireBug for FireFox for troubleshooting.

Yeah my bad, add the !important declaration to the code like James has done above, this will resolve the issue.

I was hopeful, but that still didn't fix it... Is there a similar bit of code for the Media Box at the top that contains the site header photo?

Are you sure you have added that code, as I am not seeing when I view your site. It does indeed work see my image:

Thanks for letting us know

The answer to many issues can be found by searching in the forum before posting as someone else  may very well have had the same problem before you have.  Also, reading the documentation can help you gain a good understanding of how everything works.

Hey all -

A followup on this. My client requested a change from a static header to a QuickSlider. Now the gap is back, and I can't seem to locate the proper name for this area to plug in the Custom CSS that'll close up that gap:

Try this:

#quicksliderunq6f2 .pl-section-pad {
padding-bottom: 0;
}
