RevSlider CSS

Hello, for some reason the css code is not working. I have a testing site setup and I'm trying to increase the default height of the RevSlider. What needs to be done in order to modify it? Also, if had two RevSliders activated in the layout, i.e., one below the other, how can I adjust the height on each so the top one can be different?

Thanks.

.revslider-container {
    max-height: 750px !important;
}

.revslider-full {
    max-height: 750px !important;
}

Hi Danny,

It's a testing site on the local server so it's not live.

OK, try height instead of max-height in your code.

Yeah, that doesn't work either. The only way that I found it could work is modifying the RevSlider section.php file. If I changed the three locations that were set to 480px to say 800px, I could then use the css code to make adjustments up to that height. What's the best way to add the section (or maybe just the necessary code) to a child theme? I wouldn't want changes being overwritten with future updates in DMS.

Hi, I hope that it won't be a problem if I ask something related to RevSlider customization here instead of starting a new topic. I am trying to build a website with PageLines DMS but I am stuck with some components and one of them is a slider. First of all, this is the address: www.putografija.com

Well, I have searched around but never found instructions on how to customize the slider. Which bothers me the most is how to edit "Read more" text?

Also, is there a possibility to decrease the font size from the main description field which is huge for my needs. So far I noticed that the styling and size can be changed only from Global Changes/Typography but there is still a huge difference between the font size in the posts for instance and the slider and it is fixed like this.

And one more thing regarding the slider: is there a chance to reduce its width in the way to align with the rest of the page - slider and post loop?

Much of what you're seeking to accomplish can be done with custom CSS.

Are you familiar with the inspection tools you'll need? Firebug for Firefox and/or Chrome's Inspection Tool are the best.

Well not really. I mean, I certainly know to press Inspect element button in Chrome but don't know how to find the right place in WP editor. There is simply too much categories within it and I also am always a bit scared to intervene there.

I know that it might sound really stupid but I suppose that there is a way to paste the code into custom CSS as you said but I am quite illiterate for CSS, this is the main problem. But if I am asking too much from you here just let me know.

Kostan, when you use Chrome's inspection tool, you can test changes in the CSS box on the right side.  When you do see the changes you want, simply copy it all.  I recommend pasting it first in a Notepad or text editor to remove the check boxes or other things that may appear.  Copy from the text editor again and paste it to Custom, which is our CSS input area.

Also, try http://www.getfirebug.com, which is helpful for Firefox specific code not included in Chrome's inspection.

Hello,

This is my first post, I wasn't sure we needed a new topic since my issue falls under a similar one as the OP.

I need to add padding-top: 86px; to the rev slider in order to have a "sticky nav" bar at the top of the site. When I use chrome's inspect element feature, I can add it to the top level div for rev slider and it looks perfect. However, I'm adding this code to what appears to be an inline style <div style="position:relative...>

I have tried adding the padding to

#rev_slider_3_1_wrapper

#rev_slider_3_1

as well as the classes

.rev_slider_wrapper

.fullwidthbanner-container

.rev_slider

.forcefullwidth_wrapper_tp_banner

All of these led to no effect. Any help is greatly appreciated thanks.

      Trying to convert a site over to PL5 from DMS2. Can we use revslider? Can any portion of DMS2 be editable or imported through PL5?
      I'm trying to wrap my head around the new PL5 os, but things have changed so much it like learning a new software. I DO like the new UI! Great job.

      Hi Guys,
      I just went live with this site. http://bikenet.org/
      I can see the video background in Firefox, Chrome and IE on my computer as well as my husband's computer and my phone. So I am not able to see any problem.
      But, my client says she cannot see the video background in Chrome?? Any ideas?
      Let me know. Thanks!

      Problem: Full Screen Revslider content runs off the screen on mobile devices (particularly calls to action buttons).  I've used the <br> to break up the text, however the call to action buttons run off the screen.  Therefore without making the fix too technical (and I can see some VERY technical resolutions on here) my client just wants to simple centre justify the text when being viewed on a mobile device.
      Any ideas on how best to achieve this in a simple, non too technical way?
      Thanks very much in advance

      Hi there,
      I'm trying to place the menu bar on top of a Revslider image using negative top margins and z-scores to place the Revslider under the menu as per this forum post: https://forum.pagelines.com/topic/37996-menu-inside-full-width-slider/
      It looks great in Chrome and Safari but in Firefox the slider doesn't spread out across the page. Instead it stops when it collides with the items in the menu (i.e. logo and menu items). Any advice on what I'm doing wrong?
      The full site is here: http://seemly-hobby.flywheelsites.com/
      Thanks a lot!
      Al
