pagelines-legacy-section crashes site on plugin activate

Recommended Posts

Hi, Updated to v1.1.1 but then just got blank screen. After much de-activation and finally removal of all plugins figured out it's the pagelines-legacy-section plugin that causes this.

Is it working with v1.1.1 or not?

I was under the impression that the Legacy-Sections zip file contained the old sections, which should be installed, cautiously and individually, as not all of them work in DMS. Did you install them all?

Yes, I upload the complete folder. This wasn't an issue with 1.0.4

If you unzip it, do you find the individual sections?

Yes I do. Do you know which one's work. I spent the whole day just trying to get 1.1.1 working so in no mood to test all sections in legacy :)

Honestly,  I don't know which ones work.

I've been recommending, since it came out, that people use it by unzipping and uploading the sections they need to the child theme's sections.

Yep, that's me :D

It works.  Do you have a child theme.

Yeah, Using Base Theme from Nick. It's been a pleasure since I implemented it.

      Hello,
I have an older site that was built using PageLines several years ago (prior to the release of DMS). I wanted to leverage some of the power of your new PL5 plugin but the theme prevents be from adding any generated custom sidebars to the theme (through the drag and drop interface) and does not allow me to add any PL5 sections/containers/etc to the header or footer. Is there any way to easily override that or am I stuck only using PL5 in the content areas of the site?
Thanks so much for the help!
