DMS Site only works when I am logged in

Recommended Posts

xavaireland

I have a DMS designed site at http://www.brookfieldretail.com

As you can tell it does not look right. The site layout is not being saved properly. When I am logged in, the iste looks like I want it to.

I have deactivated all plugins (there is no caching plugin installed) and still there is no effect.

I would appreciate your help.

Hi,

When I view your site, I see the following:

http://d.pr/i/3Sg8

What is it you're seeing when you're logged in and not logged in, can you provide screenshots please. Also, you have posted in the DMS forum, yet your site is using PageLines Framework, have you linked the correct site ?

My apologies - I changed back to Framework on client request as they needed to see the site - I will revert back to DMS and repost:(

Hi xavaireland - It looks to me like perhaps it's the ubermenu causing the problems in your header. What happens when you remove that section?

Have you searched the forums yet or checked out the DMS user docs?

Hi @Jaske - I took the UberMenu Mega adapter out but no effect. Also, I have successfully used that plugin on other sites:(

OK, got it. However, the password you sent isn't working. If you can check the password again for me and email me again with the correct one. I will forward your email to our support team, as my shift is coming to end shortly.

Hi Danny - any update on my issues? I am thinking of reverting back to Pagelines framework as client wants the site to be live ASAP.

Do you have the DMS Pro Tools plugin active? If so have you checked any of the options inside the Pro Tools admin which might not apply to your site (CDN, Section Caching etc), if so uncheck all to see if this fixes. Your debug is showing

DMS Internal Warning
Less Subsystem
POSIX checks failed.

Which shouldn't really matter if the pro tools is active as it has filter in the bypass this.

The other thing to try would be adding the following into the wp-config to see if it fixes the css loading.

define( 'PL_NO_DYNAMIC_URL', true );

Kindly search the forum and read the documentation before posting. It will help you resolve many issues.

For CSS help be sure to check out W3Schools first and be sure to download FireBug for FireFox for troubleshooting.

      Hello,
Shouldn't the image PL5 component be using the srcset/picture css directives to pick the correct size for an image? or it does already and I don't know how to use it? Thank you for any advice or enlightenment.

      Good Evening/Afternoon or Morning,
I am running into a problem with CSS styling not applying inside of most browsers (Safari, Firefox) when I am logged in to wordpress, and all browsers that I have tested when I am logged off and the site has been made public (Chrome, Firefox and Safari).
As a result, I have managed to identify the probable cause. It looks as though these browsers are refusing to render my sites compiled CSS file due to it being a HTTP URL rather than HTTPS.
I have attempted to change this URL to HTTPS in my browser, however it brings back an ERROR: File not found page - https://www.shortfilmblog.com/wp-content/uploads/pagelines/compiled-css-core-1505847507.css
What would you suggest in this regard? Would this be resolvable from your end?
Happy to provide any further details required.

I know this is not an easy problem. Maybe there is a easy solution.
I have tryed to uses the existing solution, that I have found in the forum
I changed the colours of my nav (simple nav) and the hover effect (a. hover).
I really tryed to highlight the active/used link in the nav but I cant figure it out.
I want it to be black when active.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I am having an issue with DMS editor not loading.  Just keeps spinning and spinning.
Have tried several things - Logged in and out, cleared cache, deactivated all plugins, but the issue persists.
I even had our host restore from a backup a few weeks ago, when I know it WAS working, as I edited a text box on the homepage.  The restore from backup didn't help either.
Also, the front end of the site shows that the site is framed, or boxed now (whatever you call it), instead of full width as it was previously (last week).
Dev console shows that there are php errors in Google maps - file is attached.
Can someone please help?  Not sure what else I can do here...
      Thanks in advance.
