Different page backgrounds

Recommended Posts

I need to have a background image on one page of my site (current url: http://mepcad2.eightyp.com) with the remaining pages having a white background. After searching the forum I found a way to change the background color of the different page IDs using the following code:

.page-id-28 .page-canvas {
background: red;
}

The change can be seen at  http://mepcad2.eightyp.com/downloads/

Unfortunately, the fixed navbar's background stayed as the original image. How do I change this to match the rest of the page (currently the red... but will be white when I'm done.)?

Hi there

As you're only coloring the page-canvas area, this is below the navbar so the original background image is still behind that red background etc.

If you just want to color the header on that page, you can add the following to the code to change the color of the nav on that page too

.page-id-28 .section-navbar {
    background: none repeat scroll 0 0 #FF0000;
}

Kindly search the forum and read the documentation before posting. It will help you resolve many issues.

For CSS help be sure to check out W3Schools first and be sure to download FireBug for FireFox for troubleshooting.
