Recommended Posts

I created a custom post type but those posts are not showing up in the blog postloop on the homepage of my website (fpgeeks.com). How do I make it so they do?

Hi there, if you've setup a custom post type and want to include it inside the loop you'll need to add a filter into the functions.php of a child theme like - https://github.com/bearded-avenger/nicks-base-theme

An example of the filter can be found here -http://justintadlock.com/archives/2010/02/02/showing-custom-post-types-on-your-home-blog-page

Or you try a plugin like http://ithemes.com/purchase/loopbuddy/ or http://wordpress.org/plugins/custom-post-type-selector/

Kindly search the forum and read the documentation before posting. It will help you resolve many issues.

For CSS help be sure to check out W3Schools first and be sure to download FireBug for FireFox for troubleshooting.

I tried this one:

http://wordpress.org/plugins/custom-post-type-selector/

and it worked, but it broke my WooCommerce Shop page. Instead of only showing products, it shows every post type on the Shop page. So that's out.

Could you provide more detailed instructions on how to get the following to work?
