Anchor Links Not Working in iOS

Anchor links do not work on iOS 7 Safari. Oddly, they do work in Android 4.1

To see this, please use iPhone or iPad to visit:  http://whub34.webhostinghub.com/~videoh6/cidev2.com/about-us/our-people/#cae-singers

I've set up

http://whub34.webhostinghub.com/~videoh6/cidev2.com/about-us/our-people#cae-singers

to link to

<a id="cae-singers"></a>

I checked with plugins off, and no change.

Using latest DMS.

Any help with a fix will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Bruce

Bruce,

Many apologies.  I'm coming into this issue rather late.  Are you saying that <a id="cae-singers"></a> is not working, and not displaying something or linking to anything?

Yes, the page will load, but stay at the top and not jump down to where I have the anchor link lower on the page. In short, it as if the iOS browser is not seeing the #cae-singers anchor link at all.

I've checked in ISO6 and they work on the iphone, I'm trying to find a member of the team who has ISO7 installed to check for you. The only other examples of this on google are from custom scripts which have been added, have you added any custom scripts to the site outside of the plugins?

Kindly search the forum and read the documentation before posting. It will help you resolve many issues.

For CSS help be sure to check out W3Schools first and be sure to download FireBug for FireFox for troubleshooting.

Hi James,

Thanks for the response.

I have not added any custom scripts yet (not even Google Analytics).  I also googled the issue, prior to posting originally. Given what I saw on Google, I'm guessing that the culprit could be a script that is in the PL core??

Thanks,

Bruce

Thanks for checking on iOS 7. Yes, that is the problem. The browser in iOS 7 does not take the page down to the anchor link. The problem likely has something to do with custom scripts, so I'm assuming the problem is a conflict with a script in DMS.

Any help in solving the problem would be greatly appreciated by me!

Is there a way to get the mobile menu to close when you click a menu item that is for an anchor link with the same page?
Currently on mobiles and ipad the black mobile menu still covers a third or the screen after you have clicked a menu item (that is linking to an anchor link) and it has scrolled to the link / section within the current page. You have to physically click within the page / away from the mobile menu to get the menu and it's black background to disappear.
      Many thanks in advance.

      Hello:

On my website (http://brightldn.com/new/) when the top menu is condensed into the little popout sidebar on mobile, the responsiveness is really slow.

I'm on Chrome on iOS and when I press the 3-bar menu icon, the sidebar partially opens, pauses, then fully opens. It then snaps shut after about 3 seconds.

Any way to fix this from being so jerky?

      Thanks, R

Hey everyone, I'm using DMS 2.1.4 and I’m currently working on a blog website and everythings "fine" except for mobile on one page. That page:http://marieevelariviere.com/?page_id=14 is messed up on mobile, I’m testing with safari on iPhone 4S (320×480).
I’ve put the background-color to red on the elements that need to be in line (2 posts per row). Looks like there’s a problem with the width of columns or something like that, I’ve been looking and trying for 5 hours and still found nothing. If you could help me find a solution, that’d made my day. Tell me if you need more info.

      here's my css for now:
      @media screen and (max-device-width: 480px){    #masonicumnacb9 ul .span3{     background-color:red;     width:115px;     height:115px;     display:inline-block;     position:relative;     transform:none;   }   }   Thanks a lot guys

Recently purchased after reading forum thread about need for the accordion to also perform as anchor links from menu items. One thing I just noticed though, once you happen to be on respective page, any other anchor links within the page (either triggered from top, or side, menus…don’t seem to work. Ex. http://nightvision-sandbox.com/medincrease/approach/

Do you have a quick fix or way I can trick elements on page to trigger the respective accordion item if clicked from top/side menus?

Thanks in advance for your time!
