How to Add Blog Page

Recommended Posts

Alex S

Hi everyone,

I would like to add a blog page to a site. I've created the page for it and added a content post loop but I'm unsure as to how posts for that page are directed to it.

I would really appreciate any insight!

I too have questions about the content post loop I noticed that if the post loop is on the Home Page there is an additional setting that is not there if you where to add content post loop anywhere else on the site.

see example below:

Hi,

By default Wordpress will display your blog posts on your homepage. However, if you use static pages and setup a front and posts page, your posts will no longer display on your front page, as it is now a static page. This means that the Content/Post Loop section will now display the content you have added to that pages content editor (Wordpress Admin Dashboard > Pages > the page you have set as your front page.

If you have used the static page setup, you will neither need to use a third party section such as AnyLoop or a third party plugin such as Mini Loop or Special Recent Posts to display your posts on your static front page.
