Chrome images not displaying

Recommended Posts

mistrmint

I'm having major problems with Chrome not displaying images. Safari & Firefox are fine.

I've tested with mediabox & highlight so far.

Chrome : http://postimg.org/image/pmvwrd5sd/

Safari : http://postimg.org/image/67l4y9ci5/

Firefox : http://postimg.org/image/3u3778y31/

Here is the Chrome DMS Mediabox (only displays a rectangle on upload) : http://postimg.org/image/4kvxd10gd/

No plugins activated : http://postimg.org/image/472ydbeg5/

This is happening with all my sites.

Please help.

Hi,

How are you adding these images ?

As when I view them in my Chrome, I receive an error on your website:

Port: Could not establish connection. Receiving end does not exist.

However, when I disable all extensions, the image displays.

Here is the media library with the file as a .jpg

Here I edit the MediaBox and choose file from from library

Surely these are images and not script files?

How come they appear in Firefox and Safari?

They even appear in IE8.

Chrome for windows also doesn't show the image.

Even if I upload the image from the DMS upload section I get the same result.

Hi,  for some odd reason, your site isn't allowing that image to display.  If you wait a while, does the image upload eventually, so that it is seen in the settings (see http://postimg.org/image/4kvxd10gd/).  In the Media area where the upload takes place, and the URL for the image appears, there's a little box above it where the image should display.  Sometimes there's a lag in the upload if your server is busy.  It happens on my sites too, even with a dedicated server.

How large a file is this image?

Hi,

I managed to get the image to display by using the background image upload. The main image upload still giving me hassles but I agree with what your saying, Probably a server issue.

Hi,

There is currently an issue  when you add an image via Media Library, it may cause an issue where you can not remove it. This has already been fixed and will be available in an upcoming patch.
