Modal - backdrop is covering the modal

Recommended Posts

Hi,

on DMS the modal is not working like it did on the pagelines framework. On DMS the black backdrop is covering the popup message as well. Is there a fix for this?

Hi,

Can you provide a link to the page where the modal is, that you're having trouble with.

How have you added the modal, as the code you have isn't correct. You have a number of <font> tags that aren't required.

I just used the shortcode for a modal and have no such issue.

ok, the PL-Shortcode does not have this issue. On Pagelines Framework i used the bootstrap code which was better because it offered the possibility to set a different name to the "close" button. The PL shortcode does not. Does the Bootstrap integration in DMS only work with shortcodes?

use this to fix the issue

.site-wrap {position: static !important;}

I reported this, with the fix, 4 months ago.

The Bootstrap code for modals hasn't changed from Framework to DMS.  See http://docs.pagelines.com/tutorials/shortcodes (DMS) compared to http://support.pagelines.me/docs/miscellaneous/shortcodes/ (Framework).

In looking at your site in all three browsers, and what I'm seeing is that the modal's size is so great that in Firefox and IE, the box falls below the browser bottom on my screen, cutting off the button.  In Chrome, the size is managed better, but to read the content, one still has to scroll up and down, and left to right.

The background isn't affecting anything incorrectly.

Thank you, now the issue is fixed although the content might be greater as it is supposed to be. I have found your fix on github before, but i failed becaused i did not make it "!important"

right

with the editor shit, you have to to actually append the modal. shortcode was already updated with the right js. i just call static on that because it's already called previously so it's redundant.

So it does, re-opened the ticket, with an explanation that when using the HTML method for a modal, it causes the overlay bug.
