from what I can see with iboxes you cannot add your own image, just bespoke content.

Why did you do this I wonder, and what other component could I use that will allow me an image and content

Hi brenb - You can definitely add you own images to iBoxes. You'll see in this shot http://d.pr/i/Pzfk there's a dropdown under iBox Configuration where you can change the media type from the icons to your own image or to no image at all!
