Image with link

Dear forum,

This is probably the simplest/most obvious question you have had - but I'm no html/css shark so here it comes :

How do you add a simpel image which at the same time acts as a link ?

I've tried all the sections, Hero, Highlight, iBox, Masthead, Mediabox......

But I don't want a "link icon" - just the image to click on !

Did you guys miss the most common function used on the internet?

BTW - I'm very excited about DMS.

Best regards

Lasse

Hi Lasses,

For any kind of HTML assistance, you will probably want to bookmark the following site.

As it will answer most of your HTML/CSS question. I have provided a link to an image link example.

Hi Danny,

Thanks - but this looks like I was right.

DMS do have built in functionality that allow us to add links (with a button)....but DMS does not

contain one the most obvious ones. The same goes for simpel text with link function.

I've seen your link - doesn't make any sense to me at all - that's exactly why I bought DMS.

A little CSS is ok with some help from Firebug or Chrome, but HTML....no thanks ?!?

Now I'm stuck with such a simpel function - it's almost embarrassing for me. Btw the old Pagelines Pro

had exactly that function.

It must be an oblivion from Pagelines. :phew:

Regards

Lasse

IMO, HTML is easier to understand and learn that CSS.

For a simple Image link, use the example on the link I gave you above.

If you're not comfortable with HTML, you can install our Legacy sections plugin and use the Boxes section which I think had this option.

Thanks Danny,

I really appreciate your support in general....it's great !

But I don't even know where to put the actual URL in that small piece of html.

And thanks for the Legacy.

Best

Lasse

Hi laka74 - I've modified and simplified the code Danny provided to help you understand where the URL you are trying to link to will go and where the image you are trying to show will go as well. I hope this helps.

Have you searched the forums yet or checked out the DMS user docs?
