DMS not showing trackbacks in comments?

Recommended Posts

hansonexperience

Today I discovered that although this posting has 14 comments: http://www.hansonexperience.com/blog/2011/09/video-van-lezing-ruud-bruin-over-brand-design.html/ I cannot see them on my blog.

They are approved, no problem. I can see them in my dashboard but not on my blog.

All of them are trackbacks from other blogs. Is DMS not showing trakbacks for any reason?

By default the comments number in the post meta counts all responses. To make it only count comments use this filter somewhere, child theme etc:
http://www.luscarpa.com/snippets/wordpress/comments-number-without-pingbacks-and-trackbacks/

If you want the comments section to show trackbacks.. copy comments.php to your child theme then edit this line:

<?php wp_list_comments( array( 'type'=> 'comment', 'avatar_size' => '60' ) ); ?>

Change comment to all

Added the changes to the repo.

https://github.com/pagelines/DMS/commits/Dev

1.0.5 will have a new filter so you can use that instead of editing the comments.php

Before you ask when it'll be out i'll give you the answer now. When its ready ;)

Ha that sounds great. So when it is ready we can choose whether or not to display trakcbacks in both comments section and rapid tabs?

I will no ask :-) But I ask when will it be ready? ;-) November, 2015, january? Do not know timeschedule of you guys.

Success, I appreciate your prompt reply and solution!!  :thumbsu:

rapid tabs will ONLY show comments.

and using the comments.php filter you can turn pings on or off.

I dont know a time schedule either. If there was one we would get bitched at when we cant stick to it. Software and schedules do not go together well.

For now just edit comments.php in the child theme like i suggested above.
