Font in one particular paragraph

Recommended Posts

Hi Guys

I am using the laster build of Framework and WP. I have site wide font installed which I am happy with and also have googlefonts active on the site.

There is one particular paragraph that I want to change the font in but am not having any luck. I have tried wrapping the text in the following code:

<h3 style="text-align: center;"><font face="Monsieur+La+Doulaise">Paragraph text goes here</h3></font>

The font is a google font. I have tried to change it to Arial and it works in that instance. Is there something I maybe missing?

The page that this going onto is not live yet (still developing it) but the site is www.magva.com if that is of any use.

Thanks in advance

Keith

Hi Keith,

What you would want to do is create a custom class, and then use that class in a span. We use a similar thing on PageLines.com for the Ampersand in the Header here:

For example:

.customp {
font-family: 'Baskerville', Palatino, georgia;
font-style: italic;
font-weight: normal;
}

Then use it in the following fashion:

<p>This is some random plain text, using the global default font-family. <span class="customp">However, this is using a shiny custom font.</span>Back, to the plain text again</p>
