Fixed sidebar in DMS

I am trying to implement a fixed sidebar a blog page using DMS and wanted to make sure I was headed in the right direction. This code works fine, but when I pull up visual editor the sidebar jumps below Content/PostLoop.

  .sidebar_fixed{
    position: fixed !important;
    margin-left: 72% !important; 
  }
}

It seems adding !important, was rather... important.

You're definitely in the right direction. However, it isn't as easy as adding that code and then think its going to work. You will most likely need to use your Blog page class so that this only effects your blog page, at the moment, all pages/posts will have a fixed sidebar. 

 

You may also need to apply custom CSS to your content area as well.

 

Also you should need to use the !important declaration, try prefixing your CSS instead - http://docs.pagelines.com/customize/overriding-default-css
