DIfferent menu Fixed NavBar Home and Blog

Recommended Posts

batman

Hi all

I made a new forum with DMS 1.0.4 (and Nick Base Theme 1.2) and  the home page show different menu than blog page, of course I select the same menu at Global Option, I have not other option.

I deleted all CSS codes, I've disabled all plugins, I change the base Theme to DMS.  and I had not luck.

If I generate a new page, this menu  still displayed as the home menu, which coincides with the pages, not the select menu (blog page).

I attach images.

Menu Home

Menu Blog

You can see http://natfoto.com.ar

I´m do something wrong and I don´t find it so....

:fpc:

hahaha

Thanks in advance

Hi,

From what I can see, your homepage is using pages (Wordpress default) for its menu and your blog page is using the Wordpress menu system. I have no idea how you have achieved this.

Can you disable all active plugins, remove all custom code, scripts, sections, hooks etc... and enable PL debug mode. Once you have, please reply here so we can take a closer look.

So you created your site elsewhere, then imported the DMS settings to a new site and since the import you have two different menus in your Fixed Nav ?

Also, do you have any actions or filters in your child theme ?

No Danny
I did not add any actions or filter to the Nick Base Theme.
I installed a clean WP, DMS and Base Theme.
Then export and import "all contents" at WP , export and import DMS config and finally I only copied the CSS rules (cmd+c, cmd+v),

Hi,

I've just done this and I haven't got your error ? I must say its a rather odd issue. What happens if you make DMS the active theme instead of Nicks Base Theme ?

Does your custom Menu display on all pages ?

Hi again
I activate the DMS theme, I delete the Nick Base Theme, copy the CSS rules to "Custom Code"
The same issue.

The Custom Code works fine at Blog Page (Inicio - Blog - Categorias - PostPins - Login)
In the other two page (Inicio and PostPins) appear the Menu (Incio - Blog - PostPins)  the three pages on the site, and I have not this menu.
I have only two Menus
Inicio - Blog - Categorias - PostPins - Login
and
ForoMac - DistanciaFocal - ArteBaires

Very strange....

Can you unset your Static pages i.e. Front page/Posts Page and set it back to WP default. Once saved, see if the menu is using the correct one. Then set your Static pages again and see if this resolves your issue.

The same issue.

In this moment I have not electricity and I'm connecting with the iPhone and my MacBook Pro, sorry if I disconnect, I have almost no battery.

We'll see how the battery lasts me the MBP.

Not sure what you mean by that reply, are you saying that when you unset the Static pages and then reset them your issue is resolved ?

I'm not entirely sure I'm afraid as I am unable to recreate your issue. Have you tried deleting your menus and then creating them again ?

Yes Danny I tried to delete ALL Menu and then creating them again, but i have no luck... hahaha
I delete ALL pages and I created new an the same issue.
I see that if I create a New Page, I have only three (Inicio - Blog - Postpins) the new appears automatically in the menu in "Inicio Page" and "PostPins Page" like in this pages the Menu are a "Pages Menu", the menu in Blog Page works fine all the time.

Hi all
I follow testing with this bug (https://github.com/pagelines/DMS/issues/456), I find this
I uploaded the NavBar image by Media Library.
:(
Now I can not delete this image fixed NavBar in "Inicio" and "Postpins" Pages , I know that this is a issue reported, but i suppose that this is the problem in the fixed NavBar, because when I delete the image in "Blog" Page disappear only, in the other pages is the image in this.
There are some way to force to delete this image?
Thanks in advance
Carlos
Ps: Maybe this will solve my problem

Well the image can't be removed thats the bug, so if you want to remove it you will need to update to the latest beta version available on GitHub. However, please be aware that this is currently beta and may be buggy.

Also, are you using that the issue with the NavBar being different on specific pages, has been caused by the image being added via the Media Library ?

I think that's the 1.0.4 version, but I can't be sure. The changelog says 1.0.4.

The latest public release is at http://www.pagelines.com/my-account.

Hope this helps Carlos.

Yes Rob

This is the 1.0.4 version, I reinstalled all WP and the latest public release form my account and this solve the issue with the NavBar.

Without any doubt the problem is the image upload by Media Library.

Thank you as always Robert.

Regards

Carlos

      Hi -
Pulling my hair out over here, and would love an assist!
Site I am building, http://www.livkundalini.com/home, has a problem with the submenu items in the nav not appearing.
If anyone wants to see what the Nav should look like, feel free to look in the footer on the left hand side.
Have tried disabling Pagelines and using the twentyseventeen theme, but problem persists.
Saw this error (pasted at the bottom of this post) displaying in the inspector, and saw discussion of Jetpack potentially being a culprit. Disabled Jetpack, but the problem persists.
Had the hosting company even flush the server-side cache, but no avail.
Any thoughts? Please? It's the only thing keeping me from launching this site!
      Many Thanks,
      Todd

      Hi team,
checking my site today, i'm surprised to see my MegaNav all in bottom of the pages, while it's in header.
After getting to change it in couple of pages onto Template part (too time consuming !), i'm desperate and ask you for help :-)

I am having an issue with DMS editor not loading.  Just keeps spinning and spinning.
Have tried several things - Logged in and out, cleared cache, deactivated all plugins, but the issue persists.
I even had our host restore from a backup a few weeks ago, when I know it WAS working, as I edited a text box on the homepage.  The restore from backup didn't help either.
Also, the front end of the site shows that the site is framed, or boxed now (whatever you call it), instead of full width as it was previously (last week).
Dev console shows that there are php errors in Google maps - file is attached.
Can someone please help?  Not sure what else I can do here...
      Thanks in advance.
