I keep deleting the section that is in the footer area so that its epty. I do not want a footer in my design. After a save my template the footer reapears with the default menu in it.   How do you prevent this from happening.

Hi studioc5

Please, you can add to the "custome code" or "base theme"

#footer { display: none;}

Bad form to load code that you are not using.  I think if you leave the section but dont put a colomn in the footer that it will not display.

Hi, If you remove all sections from your footer area and then save these changes. The Footer area will not revert back to having a section inside. I have just deleted all sections from the Footer area and saved the changes. When I view the source, here is what I have: http://d.pr/i/B0py

Please search our forums, before posting!

Actually, Danny's correct, and I've tested it.  If you remove the content (added sections) in the Footer, the Simple Nav does not come back unless you reload the default template.  If you simply remove the sections, then publish, nothing returns as default. The footer remains empty.
