Has anyone used either a great IDX plugin or code to display a home search box and resluts?

Hi,

I can't speak for the plugin, as I have never used it. However, what do you mean by your title or HTML ?

After I thought about this, the site I used a script (not html) wasn't wordpress.  Still curious about a plugin but not the other.

Hi jmad - I've used the IDX, Inc. software many times including the WP plugin and or shortcodes and can definitely highly recommend it. https://www.idxbroker.com/. It is, however, an extra cost to tie into the MLS, etc. I think for free options you can use widgets from Zillow or Trulia, for example. I've tested out a variety of other plugins in the past but they mostly use RETS to pull the data and it's not always fully tied in with every different state, etc.

Have you searched the forums yet or checked out the DMS user docs?

I have been doing some DMS/IDX websites lately. The general rule here is your agent will need to buy a idx plug-in package from a third party like ihome finder or flexmls or yadda yadda $50 a month from any of them. Ihome finder I feel produces the best results but no one is sending me referral checks. But using iframes and short codes with these guys works better in DMS than I have ever done before. http://ashleyvann.com/ http://joybrownrealtor.com/ are two I have using DMS.  I am waiting on Joy to pay her fee to flex for her  search box to work right but you can see the full search page it produces on that page.

Thanks for the information.  When you say using iframes and short codes with these guys works better in DMS..." are you saying it's easier to take the short codes or iframes provided by the IDXsource and integrate them into DMS?
