Can't edit 404

Recommended Posts

Hi Shelley,

Thanks for the thorough research.

Strangely enough though on another host where I'm running my own site www.janpeeters.nl, Wordpress and DMS run also from a folder in root without any problem. I can edit the 404. This setup is exactly done as the one that is giving me problems. And the server is also running PHP 5.3 just a higher version number (http://www.janpeeters.nl/phpinfosheet.php).

The problem childs phpinfo is here: http://www.lovo.nu/phpinfosheet.php

Rob"], @[member="Danny, are there any new insights what could cause this?

Thanks a lot, Jan

I've reported this to bug issue tracker as a potential bug. I am unable to replicate this, but this was due to an issue with my MAMP setup.

The issue is solved now. This morning I called my webhost and explained the problem. They didn't know how to solve it but pointed me to my error logs.

In the logs I found a notice that I reported to Simon. He suggested the following:

Open less.functions.php line 96 change to:

header( 'Content-type: text/css', true, 200 );

And less.legacy.php remove these 3 lines:

// If you set a static home page in WordPress then delete it you get no CSS, this fixes it ( WhitchCraft! )
if( ! is_object( $post ) )
header( 'Stefans Got No Pages', true, 200 );

I changed the code and I could edit my 404 page. Simon just made my weekend.

He has included this fix in the 1.1.2 update that will be released any day now so no need to change this manually Shelley.

Have a nice weekend!

Jan
