I don't think so. It would be applied within a section, that's full width, but it has to go in a container, that's not. There is where we get the problem.

We're going to be coming out with some new slider products soon... that may well be worth waiting for.

It would also be great to have some kind of full-width section (such as text box)  that would allow you to place text or shortcode to allow you to make other things full width (so that we could use Code Canyon's Revolution Slider- which is amazing!)

It has been mentioned as under development, but I haven't seen it yet.

HI,

One of our developers has refactored the TextBox section and created a new one called FullBox, this has exactly the same options and settings as the default TextBox section, but is indeed full width.

You can download it here - http://etc.bz/R6Rn

Give props to ETCook - http://www.etc.io/

Just install it like any other plugin.

THANK YOU SO MUCH ETCook! I've been waiting for this! :)

It gets installed like a plugin even though it's a section? Good to know!

Hi there! I just tested the new plugin, and at first, I had the same problem... So, I put the shortcode in the Title field instead of the text field, and published. That made it work. :)

I'm so glad you were all able to get this resolved. Thanks etcio for creating a brilliant new section.

Hmm, adding to the title to get the shortcode to display is odd. I'll check it out.

Danny any follow up? I can get it to work by adding to the title, but it is indeed odd that the shortcode doesn't work in the text area. (on the native textbox section as well)

I reported this to the tracker, where Simon replied saying that the TextBo uses the do_shortcode() function so if the shortcode isn't working then its related to the shortcode itself. Ill reply to the issue again and see if there is anything that can be done.
