Displaying latest blog posts on the right column

Recommended Posts

I'm trying to display my latest blog post wigdet on the right side of the home page. I set the template style to have it use the right column but the widget goes to the bottom of the screen instead.  All the other pages it works fine.  Any insights would be greatly appreciated.

Hi relyon - It's hard to say without seeing the page in question and how you're got things set up but my guess is it's possible that it's a result of the responsive nature of DMS and that whatever you have on your homepage is possibly "pushing" the widget down under it since it can't all fit in the screen? It's also possible on that template you may have inadvertently clicked on the double arrow in the section control options that forces the section to a new row (explained in greater detail at http://docs.pagelines.com/configure/configuring-sections).

Have you searched the forums yet or checked out the DMS user docs?

@relyon   Everything Jake says is true, but my good, new colleague may not be aware of a plugin called Special Recent Posts.  Since you're going to use it in a sidebar,  I'd recommend the Pro version, which makes widgeting the post loop a breeze. Here's the free version: http://wordpress.org/plugins/special-recent-posts/

And the paid one is here: http://www.specialrecentposts.com/
