Text and content too close to edge of browser - Padding?

Recommended Posts

monmart

When resizing the browser I noticed the content is very close to the edge.

I tried increasing the padding of the Section area but there was no change.

This is for my blog area. Should my blog posts be placed into another cell with padding?

Fixed

body .pl-area .pl-section .pl-section > .pl-section-pad {
padding: 20px 25px 0px 25px;margin-bottom: 0em;
}

Thanks for letting us know

The answer to many issues can be found by searching in the forum before posting as someone else  may very well have had the same problem before you have.  Also, reading the documentation can help you gain a good understanding of how everything works.

Hi, can you remove this as resolved?

This code actually changes ALL the sections, which is not what I want.

body .pl-area .pl-section .pl-section > .pl-section-pad {
padding: 20px 25px 0px 25px;margin-bottom: 0em;
}

 It turns out to be more complicated that involves custom classes. I'm still working on it.

Hi there, the user above posted the solution to add the margin to all sections within the page using custom code.

Does this only happen when you're viewing the site on a smaller browser?

If you were looking to add to just the postloop, you'd need to use the postloop id like in the code below.

#postloop2c78c9 {margin:50px;}

Kindly search the forum and read the documentation before posting. It will help you resolve many issues.

For CSS help be sure to check out W3Schools first and be sure to download FireBug for FireFox for troubleshooting.

Only add to left and right. I logged this as a GH issue about 3 months ago by the way. ;)

.pl-section-pad {
   padding-left:15px;
   padding-right:15px;
}
