Explorer 8 isn't behaving nicely for Framework

Recommended Posts

Hey guys, I've got this site that I use for a national franchise group, and I've just been made aware that the footer in Explorer 8 is not showing correctly. The CSS is downright basic, and it's just not behaving nicely.

You can view the site's proper appearance at http://madeintheshadeblinds.com/mits4

Using Wordpress 3.6. Can anyone help?

Hi,

In terms of the footer and some other issues IE8 isn't displaying, you may simply need Browser Specific CSS (one of our free plugins) to adjust things for IE8 only.  Even the most basic CSS can cause variations in IE8, even when compared to 9 or 10.

Unfortunately, IE8 isn't compatible with some CSS, javascript, jquery, ajax or other things that go into a website today.  Your site does have Google IE8 compatibility options.  Is it checked? It's in Site Options. Custom Browser Specific CSS is the way to make sure the site looks comparable in Firefox or Chrome to IE8.

Thank you, Rob - that looks like it might have done the trick. My, how we love Exploder.
