Can I have two different font colors in the same navbar?

I have a navbar that crosses from a light background to a dark one, and ideally I would like to have black links on the light background and white text on the dark background for contrast. Is that possible? Thanks for your help.

Go to Dashboard > Appearance > Menus.  On the upper right corner, click "Screen Options".  A panel will descend.  Click the option for Custom Classes. Click Screen Options once more to close the panel.

Edit a menu item.  You'll see a new field for Custom Class.  Type something unique there like my-light-link1  This creates a class associated with that link only.

You can then set up custom CSS for it.  So, if you wanted for example, to change the font color on hover, you'd have:

.my-light-link1 hover {color: pink;}
