Clear color from boxed content

Hello, I am hoping someone can provide a quick instruction or link to an article that has already instructed on "How to clear a background from boxed content, ie header/body?"
I joined and purchase DMS for one year at the Developer level and my website is at http://islandlifeinc.com/bluegoose/

Hi islandlife - I'm not sure I fully understand what need. Are you looking to remove a background image from the header and/or the body or is it some transparency you're after for those sections? If you can clarify a bit it will help us point you in the right direction!

Have you searched the forums yet or checked out the DMS user docs?

I think it is transparency I am looking for.  I would like to see the background image I have posted come though, but its solid white in the header and body.

You need to open the section by clicking the little pencil to edit it.

Then, in the "Custom class" you need to apply something like my-transp-bkgd

You need to then apply CSS to create a background color with transparency.  See: http://www.w3schools.com/css/css_image_transparency.asp

and http://www.w3schools.com/css/css_background.asp

Like this in Custom code:

.my-transp-bkgd {YOUR CSS GOES HERE;}

One Smart Egg @Rob , I am actually looking to remove the white background entirely  from the header and body and use black text in the body over the pages background image, if possible.  So I really want to clear the white.  Is that something I use the w3schools transparency you referenced for and just set opacity to 0?

Not entirely sure what you mean, but you could try this and see if this works.

#site .boxed-wrap {
background-color: rgba(0, 0, 0, 0);
}
